STRUCTURE OF APPRENTICESHIP
The bulk of Jayco’s Apprenticeship Program is on the job training. Our apprentices are welcomed as part of the team from day one. Each day’s training involves working in production areas with other production workers and tradespeople and building the day’s scheduled recreational vehicles.
The work is fast paced and physical. Our employees gain enjoyment from seeing the quality products that they produce at the end of the day.
The TAFE component of Jayco’s apprenticeship is provided by NMIT. A qualified instructor comes out to Jayco one day a week and takes a theory class. This instructor also guides our apprentices with their training and conducts assessments when tasks are complete.
There are also opportunities to get recognition / accreditation for your industry experience through RPL, and effectively cut down your training time.
SO WHY DO THE JAYCO APPRENTICESHIP?
