This year heralded an update of our product range with the introduction of the luxury Silverline Caravan and Journey Pop Top.
Jayco introduced the impressive Jayco 5th Wheeler into our range.
Jayco celebrated its 35th anniversary with the launch of the new Sterling, redesigned to feature new and modern comforts.
Jayco released the Basestation, a new category dubbed the ‘Toy Hauler’. This unique product has the living quarters in front, and a garage area in the back.
Jayco moved to its current premises, a 50-acre state of the art complex at 1 Jayco Drive, Dandenong South.
Jayco built its 100,000th RV. Jayco also released the Sterling Caravan, Jayco’s flagship towable RV. It is the first Caravan to boast wireless reverse sensors.
Jayco celebrated its 30th anniversary by producing its new C Class Motorhome, dominating sales in that sector.
Jayco entered the Campervan market and built its network of Motorhome dealers. Its network grew to 37 dealers and 65 service agents throughout Australia.
Jayco launched the Expanda, a hugely popular hybrid that married the best design elements of the Camper Trailer and Pop Top.
The slide-out lounge is available for the first time on the Westport series.
The Millennium chassis was developed with a hot-dipped galvanised frame.
The Jayco Westport was released and instrumental in Jayco’s gain in market share. The Westport was in production until 2003.
Jayco acquired part of Nissan’s plant in Dandenong South.
The designer series featured an aluminium frame for the first time, proven to be stronger, lighter and better wearing over time.
Jayco invented the Outback Camper Trailer, with a stronger chassis and greater ground clearance. The Outback is now available on every touring model.
Celebrating its 10th anniversary, Jayco started building park cabins, now found in most caravan parks nationwide.
The first Jayco Caravan was built and was an immediate success.
The first Pop Top rolled off the line, and subsequently became Australia’s most popular model.
Gerry Ryan and a team of 8 built the first Jayco Camper Trailer from a small shed in Cranbourne, before moving to Virginia Street, Springvale later that year.
Built in Australia since 1975 - and still going strong In 2007, Jayco moved into its current 50-acre state of the art complex at 1 Jayco Drive, Dandenong South, Victoria, with a purpose-built 60,000sqm undercover manufacturing complex. This is where all Jayco RVs are made.

Jayco built its first camper trailer in 1975 establishing a reputation for offering competitive quality and pricing. It was this combination that set Jayco apart and has underpinned its growth to become the leading player in the Australian RV market.
But it hasn’t always been easy. Still early in its development, Jayco had to survive the economic downturn of the late 1980s and early 1990s. Unlike many competitors, it did so through sound business management and a timely expansion of an innovative product range and nationwide dealer network.
Since its humble beginnings, Jayco has built over 200,000 RVs for Australian’s to enjoy.
