A guide to your Jayco RV: How to use the Thetford gas cooktop griller/oven

In this video, Chris will be demonstrating how to use the Thetford Triplex cooker fitted in a Jayco Journey Outback 19.61-3 Caravan.

This is a standard inclusion in Jayco Journey Caravans and Jayco All Terrain Caravans.

Step-by-step guide to using the gas cooker:

Step 1

To operate the unit, you will need to lift the glass lid.

Due to the flame failure device imbedded in the cooker, you cannot use it unless you remove the lid beforehand.

Step 2

To operate your gas burners, push the ignition button and twist the knob to set it to your desired temperature.

Step 3

To operate your grill, you will need to begin by pulling out the heat shield just below the gas control.

You need to leave the oven door slightly ajar and adjust your shelf whilst using your grill.

Step 4

To ignite your oven, you will need to simultaneously twist the knob anticlockwise and press the ignition button.

Step 5

To turn your griller on, you will need to simultaneously twist the knob clockwise and press the ignition.
