When rigid stability is required for your caravan, you will need to know how to put the four corner steadies down.
These will keep your van supported once you have parked at your chosen location.
Corner steadies are not designed to be used as a jack to lift your RV off the ground.
However, they are a great tool to stabilize your vehicle when stationary.
These are drop-down jack corner steadies and are a standard feature on all Outback & Bushpack models.
In this clip, Chris will be demonstrating how to use the corner steadies on a Jayco Journey Outback 19.61-3 Caravan.
Step-by-step guide to using your corner steadies:
Step 1
The first thing you need to do is retrieve the winder handle from the tunnel boot.
Step 2
Once you have done that, you can proceed to pull the lever on your jack and drop it down.
Step 3
When your jack is down, make sure it’s in a vertical position.
This will ensure your van is significantly more stable.
Step 4
Insert the lever.
Step 5
Wind it clockwise until it’s firmly planted on the ground.
Step 6
Once you’re ready to leave, you will need to lift the jacks back up.
To do so, insert your winder handle and wind it back up until it cannot go any further.
Step 7
Pull out the lever and lift the jack back up until it locks into place.
That’s how you level your Jayco RV.
