A guide to your Jayco RV: How to use your Tyre Pressure Monitoring System

6th Oct 2021

Safety is pivotal when it comes to caravanning, and to help ensure you don’t burst a tyre while you’re on the road you’ll find that most Jayco RV’s come with a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System.

The ‘Tire Linc’ tyre pressure and temperature monitoring system (TPMS) by Lippert guarantees you’ll always be ready for the road.

This easy-to-install system sends tyre notifications directly to your phone through Lippert’s OneControl app, allowing you to monitor your tyre pressure with the click of a button.

‘Tire Linc’ comes equipped with sensors that can easily be attached to your existing tyre valves to give you an idea of the state your tires are in before you embark on your journey.

Depending on your selected Jayco model, you will be equipped with a tyre link dock for a TPMS or it will be included as a standard in your RV.

If the TPMS is standard in your chosen model, the dock and tyre pressure monitors can be found in a package located inside your van.

If this is not a standard, you can purchase it from an aftermarket retailer.

The TPMS is standard on Silverline, Journey Caravan, All Terrain Caravan, Basestation, Work N Play, Expanda Caravan, Expanda Pop Top, All Terrain Pop Top, and is optional on Starcraft Pop Top, Starcraft Caravan, all Jayco Camper Trailers and CrossTrak.

In this video, Chris will be demonstrating how to use the TPMS on a 24.75-4 Silverline Outback Caravan.

Step-by-step guide to using the Lippert Tyre Pressure Monitoring System:

Step 1

In your Jayco accessory pack, you will find a box marked with ‘Tire Linc’.

This is your tyre pressure monitoring system.

Step 2

Inside this box, you will find the module and the valve sensors (either 2 or 4).

Take the module out.

Step 3

Behind the battery, you will find the ‘Tire Linc’ dock.

Make sure your module is positioned correctly.

Connect it onto the dock.

Step 4

To begin pairing, click the ‘Pair Mode’ button.

Step 5

Once pairing commences, go outside to fit the valve sensors.

Step 6

Remove the existing valve cap from the tyre by twisting it anti-clockwise.

Secure the valve sensor by twisting it clockwise.

Download and install the free OneControl BT app by Lippert Components in either the iOS or Android stores and follow the directions once you launch the app.

If the OneControl app is already installed, it will automatically locate the Tire Linc system, continue through the prompts to complete the system set up and set the PSI ranges for the tyres. Once you’ve completed this you’re ready to go.
