Here are some of our favourite family games!
1. Monopoly
Monopoly is one the original family board games. This fast-dealing property game, has players buying, selling and tricking their way to wealth. If you want a game where you can scheme, bankrupt and send family members to jail, this is the one for you.
There are so many different kinds of Monopoly including Monopoly Classic, Monopoly Speed, Monopoly Junior and Monopoly Cheaters.
2. Yahtzee
Yahtzee is a great family board game that also helps kids (and parents!) learn maths. The aim of the game is to score the points by rolling five dice with the aim of making particular combinations. Dice can be rolled up to three times each turn to create the best score possible.
3. Pictionary
This quick draw guessing game is the perfect board game to get the whole family laughing. Split into teams or play for yourself, this is a great game for people of all ages and is certain to help you pick the best artist in your family. If you have younger children, you can also get Pictionary Junior.
4. Scrabble
Another classic family board game, Scrabble is a word-based game where players form words on a board with the aim of hitting the highest score. Each letter is worth a different amount and there are things like double letter score, triple letter scores and triple word scores on the board.
Make it a little more fun by relaxing the rules and allowing colloquialisms and slang.
5. Cluedo
Cluedo is the original mystery game with one murder and six suspects. While it isn’t suitable for all age groups, this is a great one that will keep the family entertained thinking ‘Who dunnit?’
